The Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer/ BI Engineer with strong experience to join our growing team.

Essential skills & Experience:

• As the Developer, you are responsible for acquiring information from multiple source systems into the analytical data layers and build over them to provide an analytical platform for business to fulfil data driven decision making.
• Provide constructive input and solutions for improving performance, procedures, processes, and system stability.
• Collect, analyse, and implement the set of business reporting requirements and objectives and drive data-driven strategies to achieve them.
• With the team, develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modelling.
• Designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Develop, implement, and optimize tables, views, functions, and stored procedures using T-SQL.
• Merging data from multiple sources across the business by maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
• Perform unit testing to test individual parts of the database objects to work as expected and create technical documentation based on the requirements.
• Perform complex data analysis, identify the root cause of system and process issues, and develop solutions.
• Design and develop visually stunning Tableau dashboards as per business requirements.
• Develop and maintain reporting standards, policies and guidelines and ensure they are applied to all reports developed.
• Lead, design and implement reporting solutions including BI dashboards, scheduled static reports, drill down reports, multidimensional reports.
• Determine a reporting structure to ensure that increased usability is available for reports shared between departments.
• Derive actionable insights, and key performance indicators (KPIs) and effectively showcasing the solutions to the stakeholders.
• Demonstrated professional experience in Software Development/Engineering with expertise in backend technology such as Java, Spring Boot and Spring MVC
• Experience in building web-based software applications in at least one front end technology such as HTML5, CSS, JSP, ReactJS.
• Developing robust Restful APIs in Java.
• Identifying and implementing contemporary and emerging software architecture, design, development, and testing standards/techniques/tools including Agile & DevOps to achieve automation, improve processes and reduce costs/turn-around time.
• Working with business to ensure that the solution fulfils their needs and is properly tested. Productionizing the solutions developed.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with influence, demonstrated technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) skills with the ability to manage relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, which are built on credibility and trust.
• Working in an agile environment, attending stand-ups, retros, planning, showcases and other agile meetings and ceremonies. This includes tracking tasks and managing project timelines. You'll also be responsible for reporting progress of the project or deliverables to stakeholders on a regular basis.
